About Counselling

Counselling offers the opportunity to explore personal issues in a private setting with someone who has no other role in your life. Many people find that talking things over with a trained listener can offer a new perspective. It is a joint process that requires your motivation and active involvement, helping you explore feelings, thoughts and personal experiences in order to work towards finding your own solutions.

Sometimes there isn't a specific problem but you may simply want to talk about feeling unhappy or confused. You don't have to be in crisis or at the end of your tether before you ask for help.

All remains confidential, however, confidentiality is subject to certain legal constraints in which case every endeavour is made to discuss with you, the client, before any confidentiality is broken. The number of sessions may vary depending on individual need. It can be anything from providing short term, brief focused crisis intervention to long term, open ended therapy towards a journey of self-discovery.
